It’s been stuck in development for years but, finally, the Freddie Mercury biopic is coming to cinemas.

The film stars Rami Malek, Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joseph Mazzello, Aidan Gillen, Allen Leach Tom Hollander and Mike Myers and seems like the direction is some sort of halfway house between Dexter Fletcher and Bryan Singer.

The film traces the rise of the band Queen through as Mercury’s lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of their greatest performances.

Bohemian Rhapsody is in cinemas 24 October 2018.
